Construction
We used Dreamweaver to construct our website. When constructing we had to design tables with the correct number of columns in order for our images, text and videos to be displayed correctly. For the website to fit onto screen comfortably when displayed the table width had to be no less than 800. This created a problem as our original draft was far too large. This was an element which we improved upon following feedback on our draft.
The images had to be exported from fireworks where we edited several pictures. The banner had to be 3 images grouped as we were unable to display them separately due to the table widths differing.
When adding Flash to our video we had to create texts and motion paths which we wanted the text to follow. We then had to import these onto Dreamweaver from Flash as we could not create these effects in Dreamweaver alone. Similarly, when importing our video onto our website we had to convert our video into 'SWF' format. This had to be done due to Dreamweaver not being able to display files in the original format.
